What some people do for attention

What some people do for attention

Office gossip: So our executive vice president, Amy Oliver Cooke (the original AOC), finally got shoulder surgery to repair the massive damage from a spill on her bicycle. She has to keep her arm completely immobilized for the next 6 weeks. This means she’s gimping around the office looking for sympathy with her arm glued to her in this huge, ridiculous contraption.

So we keep throwing Frisbees at her. Pretty sure she’s faking.

By contrast, last time I went in for a root-canal we closed the office for three days to make my recovery smoother. Keeping our work force healthy is a priority for me.

Save the Date!
Join us for the first ever Colorado Microgrid Summiton Friday, November 8th

(Subhead: Hell may have frozen over because it’s where eco-left meets free market right!)

Co-hosted by the Independence Institute’s Energy and Environmental Policy Center along with Clean Energy Action, the Colorado Microgrid Summit will feature over 10 speakers – all industry-leading microgrid and energy experts!  Come explore how this growing global trend in electricity generation and distribution allows individuals and businesses to share the electricity they generate.  Our speakers will discuss everything from what is a microgrid to their wide appeal across the political spectrum and what obstacles face Coloradans who may want to invest in microgrids.  Featuring keynote speaker Alex Fitzsimmons, US Dept. of Energy’s Chief of Staff and Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency, we will explore this increasingly popular option to our current centralized grid.
