ObamaCare may sink like the Titanic

“The RMS Titanic remains the quintessential metaphor that symbolizes avoidable but inexorable downfall because of hubris and incompetence. In our new century, Obamacare [HR 3590] may supplant it,” writes Milton Wolf.  He explains why in “USS Obamacare takes on more water,” published in the Washington Times.  His reasons include:

  1. Two federal judges have found mandatory insurance to be unconstitutional. One declared the whole Act void.
  2. Medicare’s chief actuary Richard Foster said it was more false that true that ObamaCare would hold down costs. He also said that the President’s claim “if you like your plan you can keep it” is not true in all cases.
  3. “Doctors warn of increased insurance premiums, increased health care costs, and increased overall spending.” (National Physicians Survey)
