At Independence Institute, our FASTER (Faculty/Administrator Safety Training and Emergency Response) program enables teachers, administrators and other school employees to stop school violence quickly and administer medical aid immediately.
Many Colorado school boards and charter schools have authorized trained armed school staff to protect our children. But many schools and teachers lack the necessary funding to pay for the rigorous required training. We believe that every capable and approved teacher, administrator, and school staff employee who wants to complete FASTER training should be able to attend, so we raise scholarship money via periodic raffles.
