The day will be spent doing scenarios in a school environment with a focus on close quarter tactics, priority of work, room clearing strategies, decision making and responsibilities, and mindset. There will also be time spent discussing School Active Shooter Policies and Procedures.
They must have completed FASTER Level-2 and completed the Colorado POST Qualification in Handgun Proficiency testat 100% to attend this class.
At FASTER Colorado, we never want the lack of budget in a school or district to keep a school staff member from this life-saving training. Partial scholarships may be available to other participants.
If you are chosen to participate, you will attend an intensive 3-day or 2-day class where you will learn many of the same skills and tactics used by law enforcement. Your instructors will include professional law enforcement personnel with extensive knowledge of active shooter situations, and other first responders. You will leave this class physically and mentally exhausted, but those who have participated agree that it is a wonderful experience and life changing class.
