Stop the National Popular Vote

Stop the National Popular Vote

Governor Polis has signed into law Colorado’s participation in the National Popular Vote Inner-State Compact. If just a few more states join the compact then Colorado’s presidential electors will vote not how Colorado voters instruct them, but how California and New York voters tell them to.

We’ve done quite a bit of work explaining why this is a bad idea. Peruse our articles and commentary here to learn more.

Fortunately you can’t pass a law to stop the Colorado spirit. People are standing up to fight the NPV. The mayor of Monument, Don Wilson, and Mesa County Commissioner Rose Pugliese are leading a citizen’s campaign to refer the NPV to the voters. Our progressive legislature and governor are out of step with the people on this one.

Don and Rose need your help. They are hoping to raise $15,000 to pay for the printing of the petitions needed to bring this bad idea to a public vote. They have set up a crowding funding campaign on freedomfy.com to make it happen.

These are good folks working hard to stop the NPV. I think they deserve our support. Please go to freedomfy.com and help their grassroots effort to challenge our progressive overlords.

Let’s help them bring back Colorado’s voice when voting for US President.

Think Freedom,

Jon
