In a study that’s likely the first of its kind, the Beacon Hill Institute at Suffolk University near Boston took a look at health care costs inand found that they have increased significantly since RomneyCare became the law:
• State health care spending has increased by $414 million in the last five years.• Private health insurance costs have gone up by $4.3 billion.
• An additional $2.4 billion in federal money has been spent onin the state.
•spending has risen by $1.4 billion.
