Iowa’s existing tax credit program for donations to Scholarship Tuition Organizations (STOs) has been expanded with Governor Chet Culver’s signature. The previous cap of $5 million in total statewide donations has been raised to $7.5 million. In addition, donors can now give stocks and other non-cash items to STOs.
