II and CEI will join forces to share the latest news and progress on the EPA’s 111d/Clean Power Plan rule as it winds its way through the legal system. More than 150 organizations–including II and CEI–along with 27 states, have filed lawsuits challenging the controversial rule designed to shut down critical sources of electricity, reduce consumer choice, eliminate states’ abilities to determine their own energy futures, and endanger the struggling economy. Our experts will provide in-depth analysis and offer their opinions on what the Clean Power Plan means for Colorado and also place it within the context of efforts being made across the country to stop this onerous regulation.
Myron Ebell, director of the Competitive Enterprise Institute’s Center for Energy and Environment, and Raymond Gifford, a partner at the law firm Wilkinson, Barker, Knauer, LLP and a leading an expert in public utilities law, will provide in-depth analysis of what the Clean Power Plan means for Colorado and discuss the efforts being made across the country to stop this onerous regulation.
