Members of the United States Congress have joined the Secretary of Education in proposing new school choice relief. America’s Opportunity Scholarships for Kids Act would aid more than 23,000 low-income students in repeatedly underperforming schools. Competitive grants would be administered to states, school districts, and non-profit organizations to provide scholarships so the students could attend the public or private school of their choice.
