Jake Fogleman is Director of Policy at the Independence Institute, where he helps shape the organization’s research and engagement strategy on issues critical to Colorado’s future. He also co-hosts PowerGab, the Institute’s podcast on energy policy in the state. Previously, he served as a Policy Analyst in the Institute’s Energy and Environmental Policy Center.
An experienced writer, Jake has published more than 600 pieces of reporting, analysis, and commentary in outlets ranging from the Wall Street Journal and Washington Examiner to local publications such as the Colorado Springs Gazette and Complete Colorado. His work has also been cited in outlets from across the political spectrum, including Politico, Reason, The Trace, and The Daily Wire.
In addition to his work at the Institute, Jake is a contributing writer for The Reload, an independent news publication covering firearms politics and policy.
A lifelong Coloradan, Jake graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver, where he studied political science and economics. When not writing or speaking about policy, you can find Jake cheering on Colorado’s sports teams or spending time with his wife.
