Bio

Sarah Montalbano is the Energy Policy Analyst at Independence Institute, where she researches and writes about energy and natural resources. She is also an analyst at Always On Energy Research and a senior fellow at the Independent Women’s Forum Center for Energy and Conservation.

Sarah’s an experienced writer who has appeared in the The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, National Review, the New York Post, Washington Examiner, RealClearEnergy, and many more. Sarah grew up in Wasilla, Alaska, and graduated from Montana State University with a B.S. in computer science and minors in economics and data science.

Prior to joining Independence Institute and Always On Energy Research, Sarah was an energy policy fellow at the Center of the American Experiment and policy manager at the Alaska Policy Forum.
