CLE SEMINAR ON EQUITY, DIVERSITY, INCLUSIVITY AND CONSTITUTIONAL LITIGATION

Following the lead of many states, the Colorado Supreme Court on April 15, 2021, adopted amendments to existing rules and regulations governing continuing education requirements for licensed attorneys to complete at least two credit hours in Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity (EDI) effective July 1, 2021. The Independence Institute has partnered with the Public Trust Institute to take on this new challenge and sponsor an EDI Seminar along with a presentation on constitutional litigation:

PRESENTORS:

  • Adam Lamparello: Georgia Constitutional Law Professor and published EDI commentator, “The Flaws of Implicit Bias and the Need for Empirical Evidence in Legal Scholarship.”
  • Justice Clint Bolick: Arizona Supreme Court Justice, “Recent Changes the Court has Made to Increase Access and Decrease Racial Bias in the Justice System.”
  • Dan Burrows: Legal Director of the Public Trust Institute, “Constitutional Litigation for Everyday Litigators.”
  • Jon Caldara: President of the Independence Institute. Jon will address attendees about the importance of diversity of thought in media, business and charitable organizations.

Cost: $25 per person

This is available for simulcast and home study. Approved for 4 CLE credits, including 2.4 EDI credit hours and 1.6 general credit hour (Forms will be provided for accreditation in other states). Sponsor: PubTru / Course ID: 806038.
