1. What this is
Short original videos (can be AI generated) opposing one of these November 2026 Colorado ballot measures:
- **Proposition NN** (raise the TABOR revenue cap / keep surplus instead of refunds)
- **Amendment 87** (replace the 4.4% flat income tax with graduated rates)
- **Issue 7A** (Front Range Passenger Rail District 0.333% sales tax and debt)
Contest period: **October 1, 2026, 12:01 a.m. Mountain Time** through **October 29, 2026, 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time**.
Winner: the eligible entry with the highest combined public views on **YouTube + Instagram + TikTok + X**, counted at the official snapshot.
—
2. Eligibility
- Age 18 or older.
- One entry per person.
- Videos must clearly oppose Prop NN, Amendment 87, and/or Issue 7A. Neutral, mixed, or “yes” videos do not qualify.
- Original work only. No stolen clips, no recycled campaign ads you did not create, no deepfakes of real people without their consent.
—
3. How to enter
- Post the same (or substantially the same) video on **YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and X** during the contest period.
- Every post must:
• Tag **@i2i.org** (or the official Independence Institute account on that platform)
• Use the hashtag **#AffordableColorado**
• Name at least one measure (Prop NN, Amendment 87, and/or Issue 7A) in the video, caption, or on-screen text - Submit the official entry by email to Entry@AffordableColorado.com by **October 29, 2026, 11:59 p.m. MT** with:
• Your name, email, and phone
• Public URLs for all four platforms
• One-sentence description
• Attestation that the video is original and that you did not buy views, likes, or followers
You may post on fewer than four platforms. Only platforms with a valid public URL submitted on the form will be counted. Private, unlisted, friends-only, or subscriber-only videos score zero.
—
4. Video requirements
- Recommended Length: 15–90 seconds.
- Must be oppositional to at least one listed measure.
- Satire, explainers, skits, and kitchen-table rants are allowed.
Affordable Colorado may feature, stitch, duet, quote, or reshare qualifying entries. By entering, you grant that non-exclusive license.
—
5. How views are counted
- Official snapshot: **October 29, 2026, 12:00 noon Mountain Time.**
- Score = public view counts on the submitted YouTube + Instagram + TikTok + X URLs at that time.
- Platform analytics screenshots may support a claim. They are not the official score. Public counts control.
- If the same creative is posted multiple times on one platform, only the URL listed on the form counts.
—
6. Cheating and disqualification
Affordable Colorado may use public metrics, third-party tools, and human review. **Sponsor’s determination is final.** If the raw view leader is disqualified, the prize goes to the next-highest clean entry.
—
7. Prize and ties
- One prize per ballot initiative: **$2,000**.
- Winner must confirm identity. Prize may be paid by check or electronic transfer. A 1099 will be issued if required.
- Tiebreakers, in order:
1. Most Likes
2. Earliest qualifying post time among the submitted URLs
3. Sponsor’s pick for clearest, most watchable opposition message
—
8. What Affordable Colorado can do
- Publish a mid-contest leaderboard.
- Correct obvious platform glitches (e.g., a temporary zeroed counter) at its discretion.
- End, pause, or modify the contest if a platform outage, legal issue, or fraud wave makes a fair count impossible. Entrants will be notified on Affordable Colorado and i2i.org channels.
This contest is **not** affiliated with YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, or X.
—
9. Campaign finance and disclaimers
This contest is sponsored by **Affordable Colorado**.
—
10. Disputes
Email the sponsor at the address on the entry form within 48 hours of the snapshot if you believe a count or DQ is wrong. Attach public URLs and timestamps. Filing a complaint does not freeze the prize. Sponsor decision after review is final.
